What to do with Tom Brady in Week 16 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Tom Brady ahead of the Bucs Week 16 matchup against the Lions.

It sure looked like Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were cooked last week, heading for an upset loss to the Falcons. But never count out Touchdown Tom (or the Falcons to collapse). Brady and Co. rallied for a second-half comeback win, and the veteran quarterback finished the game with two touchdowns and 390 yards. If you’re needing a little boost for the championship round of your fantasy league, ol’ Touchdown Tom might help put you over the top with a game against the woeful Lions on tap.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs QB Tom Brady

Brady’s thrown multiple touchdowns in each of his last five games, something he’s done in every game but three this season. He’s also had more than 300 passing yards three times in his last five outings. The Bucs may not need that many yards to beat the Lions this week, but there’s ample opportunity for Brady to throw a few scores.

Ryan Tannehill had five touchdowns against Detroit last week, two coming on the ground. Aaron Rodgers threw three scores the week before that, adding a rushing score of his own in that one. Sure, Brady’s not a good bet to walk one in, but the fact that the Lions have now given up 11 passing touchdowns in their last four games means he shouldn’t really need to.
