The Minnesota Vikings wide receivers have a tough matchup this week in a Christmas Day matinee against the New Orleans Saints. Making your fantasy decisions that much more difficult is that it’s championship week in most leagues. So here’s what you need to know when it comes to plugging Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson into your lineups.

Fantasy Football analysis: Vikings WRs Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson

Over the last two weeks, against a pair of tougher defenses, Thielen’s numbers have fallen off quite a bit. In Week 14 against the Bucs, he had three catches on four targets for just 39 yards. Last week, he only managed to come out of the game against Chicago with 11 yards, but his 13th touchdown of the season saved his fantasy output from being a total bust. Thielen’s fantasy value is tied to his red zone usage; he’s scored in four of his last five games.

Jefferson has emerged as the No. 1 option in the Vikings passing game. Last week against the Bears, he had 104 yards on eight catches (11 targets.) He’s got 44 targets to 29 for Thielen over the last four games. He’s also topped 100 yards in two of his last four.

The Saints defense is coming off a big week in which they held Tyreek Hill of the Chiefs to just 53 yards and a touchdown. Still, they’re not unbeatable, and Jefferson’s playmaking ability keeps him in the conversation as a WR1 this week.
