What to do with Marvin Jones in Week 16 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Marvin Jones ahead of the Lions Week 16 matchup against the Bucs.

Marvin Jones looked the part of a No. 1 wide receiver last week in the Detroit Lions’ loss to the Tennessee Titans. His stat line reflected that as well. With Kenny Golladay once again out of the lineup, Jones caught 10 passes on 12 targets for 112 yards and a touchdown. The Lions will likely have to lean on him again this week in a tough game against the Buccaneers, begging the question of whether or not he’ll come through for you in your fantasy championship game.

Fantasy Football analysis: Lions WR Marvin Jones

That was the second game in his last three where Jones had triple-digit yards and a score. And this one was with quarterback Matthew Stafford playing through a rib injury. Despite a couple of clunkers scattered in the mix, Jones has been productive as Detroit’s fill-in No. 1 receiver. In the eight games since Golladay’s been out—leaving early in Week 8—Jones has six touchdowns and 553 yards.

The Buccaneers have a tough defense, but it’s not impenetrable. And Jones’ volume alone makes him worth a starting spot this week.
