Detroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson had a tough game last week against the Titans. The second-year player caught just two passes on four targets for a meager 18 yards. But don’t let one down day worry you. Hockenson is still a solid option for your fantasy football league’s championship game this week if you’re lucky enough to have a normally productive tight end on the roster.
Fantasy Football analysis: Lions TE T.J. Hockenson
The week before last, Hockenson had a season-high 11 targets. He caught six of them for 43 yards and a touchdown against the Packers. In fact, last week’s outing was only the second time since Week 7 that he’s had fewer than six targets in a game.
The Bucs have given up a touchdown in each of their last two games to opposing tight ends, and they’ve allowed eight on the season. On top of that, the Lions don’t have many other reliable options in the passing game to throw the ball to, so Hockenson should see a target volume more in line with his usual numbers.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
