Saturday update: The Steelers have promoted Matthew Wright to the 53-man roster and downgraded Chris Boswell to OUT for Week 16, per Brooke Pryor.

The Pittsburgh Steelers host the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16 and they might be shorthanded at a critical position. Kicker Chris Boswell injured his groin in practice on Thursday and is listed as questionable after sitting out Friday’s practice.

If Boswell is unable to go on Sunday, the team would promote Matthew Wright from the practice squad. The team had to do that in Week 13 when Boswell sat with a hip injury. Wright was perfect on three kicks, converting two extra points and a 37-yard field goal.

Even if Boswell is able to go on Sunday, he’s not a great start for fantasy football managers in their championship games. He ranks 23rd among kickers and has only reached double digits twice this season. Looking through ESPN’s top projected kickers for Week 16, players rostered in less than 50 percent of leagues include 10th ranked Joey Slye (Panthers), 11th ranked Greg Zuerlein (Cowboys), and 13th ranked Cairo Santos (Bears).
