Game status: The Dolphins will have both Gaskin and Ahmed active on Saturday. Beat writer Cameron Wolfe thinks we see a split between the two, but also thinks fantasy football managers should lean toward Gaskin.
The Miami Dolphins will have a more complete backfield for this week’s game against the Raiders. Myles Gaskin missed last week’s game on the COVID/reserve list, but he was off the list and back at practice on Wednesday this week. The question for fantasy football this week is how the workload will split up between Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed, who’s coming off a big game, and whether or not they belong in your lineup.
Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins RBs Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed
Ahmed had 122 rushing yards on 23 carries against the Patriots last week, picking up his second touchdown of the season too. Gaskin’s last outing was back in Week 13 against the Bengals. He had 90 yards on 21 carries as well as 51 receiving yards.
A healthy Gaskin likely slides back into the top spot in the backfield. While Ahmed will probably get a few touches, he’s probably not going to get enough work to bank on him in your fantasy lineup.
The Raiders have given up eight rushing touchdowns to opposing running backs in their last five games. Running backs are averaging 4.87 yards per carry against Las Vegas too.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Myles Gaskin makes a solid RB2 this week. Sit Salvon Ahmed.
