We go over the fantasy football outlook of David Montgomery ahead of the Bears Week 16 matchup against the Jaguars.

Game day update: The Jaguars are back to Mike Glennon and will be without their stud rookie running back, James Robinson. This could provide the perfect game script for the Bears to establish the run, control the clock and dominate defensively. Montgomery is likely to see all of the volume he can handle today, projected for 18.3 rushing attempts per ESPN Fantasy.

Another week, another big game for Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery, who’s been one of the hottest running backs in fantasy football over the last month. Last week in a win over the Vikings, he carried the ball a jaw-dropping 32 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns. The Bears play the Jaguars this week, setting up another golden opportunity for Montgomery to ball out.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bears RB David Montgomery

Montgomery’s performance last week was the third time in his last four games with more than 100 rushing yards in the box score. He’s got five rushing touchdowns over his last three outings too. He only had 16 receiving yards, but he’d been hovering around 40 per game in the three tilts before that.

Running backs are averaging more than 4.5 yards per carry this season against the Jaguars, and they’ve given up three rushing touchdowns to the position over their last two games.
