Best value lineup strategy for 49ers-Cardinals Saturday Showdown

We go over some of the top DFS value plays for Saturday’s Week 16 matchup between the 49ers and Cardinals

The 49ers continue their lost and injury riddled season into Arizona, where they have actually been playing and practicing over the last few weeks already. The Cardinals might not have the same home-field advantage they’re used to, but nobody has this season.

Arizona is very much in the playoff hunt, but haven’t punched their ticket just yet. They should be more motivated to win than the 49ers, but we know how trying to gauge motivation can turn out at times.

Outside of the big names, who are some lower-tier value flex plays on both teams that could help you win the SNF DraftKings Showdown? Let’s discuss some options below.

Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, $3,600

Wilson is going to be chalk in this Showdown, but it’s hard to fade him at this price. The Cardinals run defense is serviceable, but Wilson will be the lead back with Raheem Mostert out. The Cardinals have also allowed six rushing touchdowns to running backs over the last five weeks while Wilson has been a touchdown machine when given his shots this season.

Chase Edmonds, RB, $5,600

Edmonds led the backfield last week in a close game against the Eagles. We will likely see more Kenyan Drake this week if Arizona can take a lead, but Edmonds isn’t going away and he gets passing down work. At his price, he should be able to give us a decent floor, but he’ll likely need to find the end zone to be a strong play.

Dan Arnold, TE, $4,400

Arnold doesn’t get enough work to be considered a safe play, but his red zone usage helps elevate his fantasy upside. Arnold also saw five targets last week, his highest number this season. With three touchdowns in his last five games, he has a good chance of getting you value at his cheap price.
