UPDATE: Larry Fitzgerald is officially active to face the 49ers in Week 16.

The Arizona Cardinals host the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday afternoon with hopes of clinching a wild card berth. The Cardinals will have most of their roster intact, but they’re still a bit banged up with ten players listed as questionable for the game.

Larry Fitzgerald is one of those ten people due to a groin injury. He did not practice on Tuesday or Wednesday, but got in a limited workout on Friday.

Two missed practices is not ideal, but getting back for the final practice offers some hope he will play. That being said, Fitzgerald has lost much of his fantasy relevance outside of deeper leagues. He’s coming off his best fantasy performance of the year, finishing with 11 points against the Eagles thanks to his first touchdown score of the season.

Arizona faces a short-handed 49ers squad that could give the offense a boost. Cornerback Richard Sherman and safety Jimmie Ward have both been ruled out for the game, which could bode well for the Cardinals passing game. That being said, it’s hard to justify starting Fitzgerald in this game outside of a hope and a prayer and in deeper leagues.
