UPDATE: Jones is dealing with a hip injury, but did return to the game.
UPDATE: Aaron Jones has a lower leg injury and is getting looked at on the sidelines.
UPDATE: Aaron Jones appears to be healthy, but the Packers are giving rookie A.J. Dillon a big chunk of work early on with four carries to three for Jones early on. At the final call we’ll probably have Jones with his normal workload, but it is frustrating for Jones backers so far.
The Packers won their fourth-straight game last week as they held on to beat the Panthers 24-16. Jamaal Williams had to come out of the game early with what would be a quad injury, making way for Aaron Jones to carry the workload and deliver huge. With Williams listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game, it’s safe to say Jones is a lock at RB1.
Fantasy Football analysis: Packers RB Aaron Jones
Jones went for a season-high 20 carries and notched his second-highest yardage total of the year with an impressive 145 and a touchdown in last week’s win over Carolina. He even caught three of four targets for 13 receiving yards as he thoroughly impressed all around. While everyone will be keeping an eye on the status of Jamaal Williams leading up to Sunday, Jones should be a no-brainer at RB1. Even if Williams does play, Jones still has plenty to offer as he’s been averaging roughly 80 rushing yards per game all season long and has found the end zone 10 times (eight rushing, two receiving). He’ll be a solid starter for any fantasy manager this week.
