What to do with Andy Dalton in Week 16 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Andy Dalton ahead of the Cowboys Week 16 matchup against the Eagles.

Andy Dalton has registered multiple touchdown passes in three straight games. Can he keep that streak alive against the Philadelphia Eagles?

Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys QB Andy Dalton

If back up to Dalton’s last five games, he has a 10:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio. But he reached 20 DraftKings points just once during that span: 20.3 points in Week 11 versus Minnesota. The Eagles have allowed eight passing touchdowns in their last three games and have dealt with attrition throughout their secondary. However, some good news for Philly — and bad news for Dalton — is that top cornerback Darius Slay has been cleared to return after missing last Sunday’s game at Arizona because of a concussion. But holes remain in the back of the Eagles’ defense, Dalton has plenty of receiving options to exploit them, and this game does have high-scoring potential with Jalen Hurts on the other sideline. This game’s current over-under is 49.5, which is the third-highest of Sunday’s slate.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

I wouldn’t want to trust Dalton ($5,500) in DraftKings just because he has so little upside in any matchup. But if you are really in a pinch for a QB2 in a season-long league, you could do worse than the “Red Rifle” in this matchup.
