What to do with Dare Ogunbowale, Devine Ozigbo in Week 16 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlooks of Dare Ogunbowale and Devine Ozigbo ahead of the Jaguars Week 16 matchup against the Bears.

The Jaguars stud running back James Robinson didn’t practice this week, but was holding out hope that he’d be able to go against the Bears this Sunday. Unfortunately for the UDFA, he is now reportedly out, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Robinson’s absence will push Dare Ogunbowale and Devine Ozigbo into extra duty in Week 16.

Fantasy Football analysis: Jaguars RB Dare Ogunbowale, Devine Ozigbo

The Chicago Bears have allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy football points per game to running backs. They’ve given up the 13th best yards per carry with 4.08 and rank fifth in run defense DVOA. They have had some trouble against the run off and on, but continue to play at a high level.

The Jaguars backup running backs haven’t seen much work this season, as Robinson took over the job and has been one of the most heavily used backs in the league. Ozigbo appears to be more in line for receiving work, with five targets to two for Ogunbowale, but Ogunbowale has been running ahead of Ozigbo on the depth chart this season.

In the end, it’s very hard to trust either of these players in fantasy, as we don’t know if either will see the bulk of the work in a tough matchup. Unless we can count on 15-plus touches, there just is no way to recommend a Jaguars’ running back this week.
