The Seattle Seahawks backfield has largely turned into a one-man show with Chris Carson, followed by the rest of them. Whether you have Carson or any of the other Seattle running backs including Carlos Hyde, let’s take a closer look as we get closer to game time.
Fantasy Football analysis: Seahawks RBs Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde
Seattle focused quite a bit of its time on the running game in a 20-15 win over the Washington Football Team last week. Carson carried the ball 15 times for 63 yards but was held out of the end zone, while Hyde added 55 yards on two carries, thanks to a 50-yard touchdown run to open the second half. Both backs caught two of three targets, and Hyde had eight receiving yards, while Carson had six.
The Seattle backfield will match up with the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, and the Rams are giving up the second fewest rushing yards per game this season. In its last time out, Los Angeles allowed Frank Gore to just 59 yards on 23 carries in a 23-20 loss to the New York Jets.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Carson can be used as a low-end second running back, while Hyde should be benched in all fantasy leagues.
