The New York Jets have been an absolute mess from top to bottom in 2020. But just in case your fantasy team is running out of options and you need to roll with one of Adam Gase’s running backs, here’s what you should know.
Fantasy Football analysis: Jets RBs Frank Gore, Ty Johnson
The New York rushing attack has been less than stellar this season. Over the last seven weeks, the Jets have only seen one game where the entire team had over 100 rushing yards. They also only have seven rushing touchdowns all season, though five of them have come since November 22.
Frank Gore, the team’s leading rusher, has just 605 yards and two touchdowns on the season. That’s good for about 45 yards per game. Ty Johnson, the team’s number two back has played in nine games this year and has 196 rushing yards and one score.
Over the last three weeks, these two players have combined for a total of 65 yards and two touchdowns. Though Johnson did add another score through the air.
The Jets play the Cleveland Browns this week, who have every solid defense against running backs, allowing the seventh-fewest fantasy points to running backs each week.
