The Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense has taken a step back over the last couple of weeks, so fantasy owners are rightfully skeptical of starting any of the team’s weapons in their playoff matchups.
Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers TE Eric Ebron
Ebron was having a fine season and had seen a big jump in targets since Week 11. However, over the last two weeks, Ebron has seen a total of just six targets and has only come down with two of those for catches. The tight end also suffered a back injury last week, though he has returned to practice as a full participant on Thursday after missing Wednesday’s practice.
The opponent this week, the Indianapolis Colts, has one of the better defenses in the league against tight ends. They’ve only given up two TDs to tight ends all season and rank 5th best in the NFL in keeping them off the fantasy scoreboard.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
With the tough opponent this weekend and missed practice time, it’s unlikely for Ebron to be a major factor in the gameplan.
Sit him.
