Heading into this season, many analysts expected either veteran Tyrell Williams or rookie Henry Ruggs to be the Las Vegas Raiders’ best wide receiver. However, that hasn’t been the case; instead, it’s been veteran wideout Nelson Agholor.
Agholor tied his career-high in touchdown receptions on Saturday night against the Miami Dolphins. The former first-round pick had a season-high five receptions (six targets) for 155 yards and a touchdown. It was the second time in three weeks that Agholor posted at least five receptions for 100 yards and a score. He also posted his seventh double-digit fantasy football performance this season, scoring 21.5 points.
Next week, the veteran wide receiver will be facing a less than stellar Denver Broncos’ secondary. In Week 10 against the Broncos, Agholor only had one reception (four targets) for eight yards. But with a lot of attention on standout tight end Darren Waller in the middle of the field, there should be opportunities for Agholor and the rest of the wide receivers to make plays.
