For the second-straight week, the Cincinnati Bengals had a running back go over 80 rushing yards. Last week, Giovani Bernard had 83 rushing yards on 25 carries and a touchdown, along with a receiving touchdown against a stout Steelers’ run defense.
On Sunday, Samaje Perine joined Bernard with 95 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns against the Houston Texans. He also recorded four receptions (four targets) for 41 yards. It was the first time since his rookie season that Perine reached the 90-yard rushing mark.
Additionally, this was the third time this season that he had double-digit carries. Heading into this game, the veteran running back only had 155 yards on 41 carries and a touchdown. Perine’s only touchdown came in Week 8 against the Tennessee Titans. That being said, can he replicate this performance again?
It’s going to be tough against a Baltimore Ravens’ defense that is only giving up 109.9 rushing yards per game.
