Monday Night Football brings us a game between two AFC East rivals headed in opposite directions. The Buffalo Bills are a Top-3 seed in the playoffs while the New England Patriots find themselves in the unfamiliar position of being eliminated from the playoffs.
The Patriots don’t have anything to play for, but the Bills could still get the No. 2 seed. And I don’t expect the Patriots to completely tank against an AFC opponent at home.
The bulk of the fantasy points will likely go to Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, and Cam Newton. The question is, who are those one or two players further down the radar that will become critical in this game and help you roster more studs and differentiate from the competition in the DraftKings Showdown?
Jakobi Meyers, WR, $7,200
Meyers hadn’t been getting a big workload of late, but last week that changed when he saw 10 targets, catching seven for 111 yards against a good Dolphins secondary. He has yet to catch a touchdown this season, so his upside remains low, but if he can see a workload like he had last week, he should give us value.
Dawson Knox, TE, $5,600
Knox has three touchdowns in this last four games and has seen an uptick in targets of late. He will need to score a touchdown tonight to give you a worthwhile fantasy score and the Patriots have been stingy against tight ends.
Gabriel Davis, WR, $5,000
Davis has four touchdowns in his last six games and has 13 targets in his last two games. That’s good usage with Josh Allen tossing you targets. With Stefon Diggs likely garnering safety help, Davis has a real shot at a big play or two.
Damiere Byrd, WR, $4,000
Byrd’s targets over his last five games have been 7, 8, 3, 8, 4. That’s fairly inconsistent, but also has some real upside in opportunity for his price on DraftKings. He hasn’t done a lot with those targets, but as a deep threat, his upside remains high. He is clearly a GPP play only.
