The Seattle Seahawks clinched the NFC West on Sunday with a win over the Rams. Thanks to the bad NFC East division, Seattle is guaranteed no worse than the No. 3 seed when Week 17 comes to a close. However, the Seahawks still have something to play for with the No. 1 seed and home field throughout the NFC playoffs still in play.
If the Seahawks beat the 49ers on Sunday and the Packers (@ Bears) and Saints (@ Panthers) both lose, Seattle will be the No. 1 seed. If the Seahawks win and one of the Packers or Saints wins, Seattle will be the No. 2 seed. If the Seahawks win and both those teams win, the Seahawks will be the No. 3 seed. Additionally, if the Seahawks lose to the 49ers, they will lock into the No. 3 seed.
The Packers entered the season with the second best odds to win the NFC West behind the 49ers at DraftKings Sportsbook. The 49ers were -106 and the Seahawks were +220 coming into Week 1. Seattle was -137 to clinch any kind of playoff berth.
