Darrell Henderson diagnosed with high-ankle sprain, unlikely for Week 17

The Rams could be without their QB, RB1, and RB2 in a must win matchup in Week 17

Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The injury almost assures that he won’t play in Week 17 against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Rams are also without Cam Akers due to an ankle injury and Week 17 seems like a quick return. But, he hasn’t been ruled out and we’ll need to watch his status as the week goes on. If he can’t go either, Malcolm Brown would get the bulk of the work at running back.

The Rams are also hurting at the quarterback position, as Jared Goff has a broken thumb and is more than likely out in Week 17 as well. He will be replaced by ex-AAF quarterback John Wolford, who has never thrown an NFL pass.

Whoever wins this matchup between the Rams and Cardinals will secure a playoff spot. The cards will obviously be stacked against Los Angeles in Week 17.
