Player props to take advantage of with plenty of injuries on Monday’s NBA slate

With so many players resting and injured, we take a look at some favorable player props to target on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The NBA is playing a shortened season and the schedule is very condensed. As a result, we’ve see more players resting and more injuries piling up through the first week of the season. Heading into Monday’s five-game slate, we have a lot of opportunities in the player prop market on DraftKings Sportsbook. Here we’re going to highlight some spots to take advantage of with the injury reports so nutty.

Joe Harris O2.5 3-pointers (+120)

The Brooklyn Nets are taking on the Memphis Grizzlies at home on Monday night. We know that Spencer Dinwiddie and Kevin Durant are going to be out. Harris has been starting, is shooting 43.8 percent from beyond the arc on 5.3 attempts per game. He’s nailing 2.3 per game, so we’re already right at that number. Between Durant and Dinwiddie, the Nets are looking at 21 shot attempts per game up for grabs. It’s safe to say Harris should see an additional 3-4 attempts as a result. If most of those are from distance, his odds of hitting this over increase. This feels like a gift.

Detroit Pistons Points Props

Delon Wright O10.5 points (-148)
Killian Hayes O10.5 (-148)
Mason Plumlee O10.5 (-134)

The Pistons won’t have Blake Griffin or Derrick Rose. That’s two of the three leading scorers for Detroit this season. It’s exactly 34.5 points per game to make up. Wright is already averaging 12 points per game, so him hitting the over seems very safe if he’s going to see 30-plus minutes with more usage and shots. Hayes is a bit more risky to me since the rookie has struggled early on in his first season. Plumlee has been great for Detroit and there are 31 shot attempts available with Griffin and Rose out. Plumlee should see more looks in the post in a pretty soft matchup. All three numbers aren’t great but are pretty safe if you wanna craft a parlay.

George Hill U17.5 points + rebounds + assists (-125)

The Oklahoma City Thunder got a win on a buzzer beater against the Charlotte Hornets in their opener, so they’re riding high! In that game, Hill pretty much didn’t miss. He scored 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting and 4-of-4 from beyond the arc. That was against the Hornets. This is the Utah Jazz, who should prove to be a much tougher matchup defensively — especially coming off a loss. This number is just way too high. On most nights, Hill won’t get the shot attempts to hit the over. If he does, he’ll need to basically not miss like he did in the opener. Those attempts will be more contested and tougher to hit tonight. Give me the under here.
