Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones has been activated from the Covid-19 list, per Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud. Jones missed the last two games and backup Leonard Fournette led the way in his absence.
The Buccaneers will be glad to get Jones back, as he is the more explosive back of the two and gives defenses more to reckon with each week. This week the Buccaneers should go all out for a win, although they already have a playoff spot locked in. If they can beat the Falcons, they’ll secure the fifth seed, which will give them a game against the winner of the NFC East. No matter who that is, it will be a team with a losing record.
Jones missed their Week 15 game at Atlanta, but will get the start this week at Tampa Bay. Fournette scored two touchdowns against the Falcons in a high-scoring overtime game. Jones will have similar upside with a better shot of breaking a long run.
