Friday update: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Tyreek Hill, and Sammy Watkins are officially out, while Le’Veon Bell is questionable, per Adam Teicher. Patrick Mahomes will rest, while Chad Henne gets the start. We can expect others like Travis Kelce and Bell to rest as well.

The Kansas City Chiefs don’t have anything to play for in Week 17, as they have secured the No. 1 seed and the only AFC bye in the playoffs. Coach Andy Reid has already named Chad Henne the starter against the Chargers and now we get a slew of players not practicing on Wednesday. Tyreek Hill, Le’Veon Bell, Clyde-Edwards Helaire, and Sammy Watkins all were out with varying degrees of injuries.

If a Chiefs starter does see the field this week, it will likely be one who is 100 percent and they will probably only see limited playing time. We can probably count on Hill and Bell being out, while Edwards-Helaire and Watkins’ injuries are severe enough that we know they will be out this week.

We should see a lot of Darrell Williams this week, but there is also a chance that the team wants to be careful with him depending on the severity of Edwards-Helaire’s injury.
