The No. 9-ranked Georgia Bulldogs will be looking to hand the No. 8-ranked Cincinnati Bearcats their first loss this season when face off against each other in the Peach Bowl on New Years’ Day. This is the Bulldogs’ fourth-straight New Year’s Six appearance.
The Bulldogs (7-2) are coming into this contest, winners in four of their last five games. One of the biggest reasons for their turnaround is the play of quarterback JT Daniels. The USC transfer is completing 54-of-81 passes for 839 yards, nine touchdowns, and an interception. In the regular season finale on Dec. 12 against the 25th-ranked Missouri Tigers, Daniels threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns. Two of his Daniels’ three touchdown passes went to wide receiver George Pickens, which were a part of his five receptions for 126 yards.
As for the Bearcats (9-0), they are coming off of AAC championship game win over the No. 23-ranked Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. Cincinnati is led by their dual-threat quarterback Desmond Ridder. In the AAC title game, Ridder completed 19-of-29 passes for 269 yards and a touchdown. He also led the team in rushing with 83 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown.
This season, Ridder has been one of the best Group of Five, let alone quarterbacks in the nation. He boasts 2,090 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, six interceptions, along with 609 rushing yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns.

The Best Bet
The Bulldogs enter this bowl game on fire, thanks in large part to the play of quarterback JT Daniels. The Bearcats are trying to end their season undefeated and have one of the better dual-threat QBs in Desmond Ridder. Georgia will be without a few key players on offense and defense because of the NFL Draft, which might make it tough to cover the -6.5.
However they still have dynamic running back Zamir White, who can do some damage to UC’s run defense which allows 122.1 yards per game. But Cincinnati isn't just going to roll over either, as they have a record of 8-4 against the spread in their last 12.
Pick: Cincinnati (+8)
