Friday update: Goedert didn’t practice this week and will more than likely be out. Zach Ertz will see an uptick in work.
The Philadelphia Eagles are set to face off against the Washington Football Team could be without several key playmakers. Tight end Dallas Goedert is one of the many players who didn’t practice on Thursday. He logged a second straight DNP because of the calf injury he suffered against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16. He could be in danger of missing Sunday’s season finale if he doesn’t practice before the weekend.
Goedert caught three passes for 38 yards in Week 16 before leaving the field with a calf injury early in the fourth quarter. He’s the Eagles’ leading receiver with 46 receptions for 524 yards and three scores. Zach Ertz could see a major bump in targets if Goedert can’t go on Sunday. Ertz ranks second in targets among Eagles pass catchers with 66 despite having missed five games this season. He’s been thrown to seven or more times in six of his 10 appearances this year.
