Tale of the Tape for Roman Dolidze vs. John Allan

Roman Dolidze vs. John Allan fight at light heavyweight on the main card of UFC Fight Night on December 5th. We break down the odds.

In a light heavyweight bout on the main card of UFC Fight Night, Roman Dolidze will fight John Allan Saturday in Las Vegas and available on ESPN+.

The 32-year-old Dolidze has a professional fighting record of 7-0 and this is his second fight in 2020 and in the UFC. In his octagon debut at Fight Night 172, Dolidze defeated Khadis Ibragimov by Round 1 TKO.

Before he made the jump to the UFC, the 6-foot-2 fighter competed in five matches at World Warriors Fighting Championship and Real Fight Promotion. Based off of his only UFC bout, Dolidze lands 4.47 strikes per minute, with 86 percent accuracy. He absorbs 0.94 strikes per minute, while his defense is at 71 percent.

As for Allan, he comes to the APEX with a professional fighting record of 13-5 (1 NC). Like his opponent, the 27-year-old from Brazil is competing in his second-ever UFC fight. “The Hunter” Allan received a no-contest against Mike Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night 155 in July.

Over his eight-year pro career, Allan has fought in Future FC, Dana White’s Contender Series, Imortal FC, Bradar Fight, Samurai FC, XCage, Show Fight, Frontline Fight Series, University of Champions, Impactotal Fight, Full Fight Combat, and Quality Fighting Championship.

A majority of Allan’s victories have come by TKO/KOs (nine) in his fighting career. He averages 3.59 strikes landed per minute, with a striking accuracy of 48 percent. But the Brazilian mixed martial artist absorbs a significant amount of punishment at 4.39 per minute, while his defense is at 51. Along with striking, Allan can also get down and grapple inside the octagon. He has a 2.54 takedown average per 15 minutes, with an accuracy of 66 percent. Allan also boasts a 1.9 submission average per minute and 57 percent takedown defense.
