The Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald was still on the Covid-19 list as of Friday, per Darren Urban. Urban believes it is unlikely Fitzgerald will play even if he came off the list on Saturday, but there is of course a chance he will.
Fitzgerald has remained a big part of the Cardinals offense, as he has averaged the second-most targets this season. He hasn’t done much with those targets, as he’s mostly a possession receiver at this point, so his depth of target is one of the lower numbers in the league, while his counterpart, Christian Kirk, has similar targets, but over two times the fantasy points.
Fitzgerald is a better real-life player at this point, as he’s used like a safety valve for Kyler Murray more than a big play receiver. Fitzgerald missed last week’s game and Andy Isabella saw the biggest bump in targets with six, whereas he had six the three previous weeks combined. He would again get the biggest boost if Fitgerald were to miss again.
