Gameday update — Cooper has continued to put up strong numbers in Dalton’s starts and is projected to lead all Cowboys with 14.15 fantasy points on ESPN. Lamb is projected to score 11.24 while Gallup’s projection is 9.59 points.
The Cowboys had a rough Week 12 game, losing to Washington 41-16. That’s a big loss. They also lost 4 of their last 5 before that, with only one win coming in that stretch with a 31-28 squeaker over the Vikings. This week they’ll head on the road to face a tough Ravens defense.
Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys WRs Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup
The Cowboys receiving corps has seen its fair share of ups and downs, with all 3 players turning out some great numbers while also underwhelming in their own right. Michael Gallup should basically be off the radar at this point as he’s only broken 20 PPR points once, back in Week 3, and his next highest total came in Week 8 when he scored 13.1 PPR points. Cooper and Lamb have both consistently scored double digits almost every week, with a few exceptions. Since Prescott’s exit, Cooper and Lamb’s stock have fallen a bit as the scoring opportunities just aren’t showing up as often as they did before Dak’s injury.
Heading up against a Ravens defense who have been lethal against wide receivers this season, fantasy managers should temper expectations. Receivers have averaged only 1.58 PPR points per target against Baltimore, which is the third-lowest average in the league. Still, that doesn’t mean Cooper or Lamb won’t show up for a decent performance. While neither of them are solid WR1 options this week, either of them can certainly be slotted in at a WR3/flex option, and will hopefully crank out 10+ PPR points when all is said and done.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Amari Cooper, start CeeDee Lamb, sit Michael Gallup.
