Game day update: The Dolphins will welcome back Tua Tagovailoa to the starting lineup, with Sunday reports that he will get the start vs. the Bengals. In PPR leagues, ESPN projects DeVante Parker with 13.9 points and Jakeem Grant with 8.9 points
We probably won’t know which quarterback the Dolphins are starting this week until Sunday. Right now, there is not a small chance that it will be Ryan Fitzpatrick, while Tua Tagovailoa continues to mend from an injured thumb on his throwing hand. It makes a big difference for their wide receivers potential fantasy impact this week, so let’s go over the possibilities.
Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins WRs DeVante Parker, Jakeem Grant
Fitz got the start last week, and not coincidentally, Parker had his first 100-yard game since Week 4, finishing with 119 yards on eight catches with 14 targets. He is undoubtedly better when Fitzpatrick is starting. However, he is still capable of producing when Tagovailoa is under center, but the numbers are lower. While Parker has scored twice in four games with the rookie quarterbacking the team, he’s topped out at 64 yards. The starting quarterback is the difference between WR1 and WR3 for Parker.
Grant’s stats this season just don’t live up to fantasy usefulness, so you can skip him regardless of the QB situation.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start DeVante Parker. Sit Jakeem Grant.
