Ryan Tannehill continued his string of strictly fine fantasy performances in Week 12. What awaits him against the Cleveland Browns this Sunday?
Fantasy Football analysis: Titans QB Ryan Tannehill
Tannehill really has been a perfect fit for the Titans’ run-heavy, play-action offense. He doesn’t take many chances and with Derrick Henry trucking defenders weekly, he doesn’t have to. Just find the open man, play smart and hope A.J. Brown tears off a big gain every now and then. That was basically the script for Tannehill’s Week 12 performance versus Indianapolis. As Henry dominated, Tannehill threw 22 times for 221 times and one touchdown — a 69-yard catch-and-dash from Brown. Tannehill has fallen short of 20 DraftKings points in five of his last six games. However, the Titans are leading the AFC South and have won three of their last four contests, so why fix what isn’t broken? The Browns have allowed 22 passing TDs in 11 games and the 10th-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. But Titans aren’t going to deviate from what they do, so Tannehill’s fantasy upside is more dependent on game flow than matchup.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Tannehill remains a boring, safe, low-ceiling, low-end QB1 in season-long leagues. He might have a big game in him at some point with some juicy matchups awaiting the Titans, but right now, the Titans are not going to put more on his plate, at the expense of taking touches away from Henry, if they don’t have to.
