Drew Sample hasn’t done a ton to impress fantasy owners this season, as he averages only 4.5 fantasy points per game through Week 12. Sample had the second highest number of receptions on the team in Week 12, which may sound promising. Unfortunately, it was a poor outing for the team as a whole and he totaled only four receptions for 40 yards. Is there reason to believe Sample can improve to be worthy of a starting spot in your lineup this week? We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals TE Drew Sample
The Dolphins have been pretty tough against tight ends so far this season, allowing the seventh fewest fantasy points to the position in the league. Drew Sample has only managed to score double digit points twice this season. Both of those games were against Cleveland, who have allowed the fourth most points to the position this season. Given these stats, it’s not likely that Sample will be very helpful for your lineups against Miami. Leave him on the bench.
