What happened to Carson Wentz and can his career be saved are two of the most vexing questions of the 2020 NFL season. But that’s beyond the scope of this piece. I’m here to answer the question of whether or not you should trust him in your fantasy football lineup for the Eagles’ Week 13 game against the Packers. You can probably guess what I’m going to recommend.
Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles QB Carson Wentz
Last week against the Seahawks, one of the most generous pass defenses in the league, Wentz completed just over 55 percent of his passing attempts for 215 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. That was the first time in four games Seattle picked off an opposing passer. Inefficient passing and a knack for turnovers kneecap a quarterback’s fantasy ceiling, so even if Wentz isn’t the worst QB play this week, he’s unlikely to give you very many points either.
The Packers defense has intercepted opposing quarterbacks in each of the last four games, a total six times. It’s very likely they’ll make it five in a row this week given the way Wentz is playing.
Too much risk and not enough upside, do what the Eagles should be doing and leave Wentz out of your lineup.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Carson Wentz.
