Second-year tight end T.J. Hockenson will continue to be the Lions’ top offensive as they get ready to face the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon.
Fantasy Football analysis: Lions TE T.J. Hockenson
With Kenny Golladay still dealing with a nagging hip injury, tight end T.J. Hockenson will once be the Lions’ top offensive weapon. Last week against the Texans, Hockenson led Detroit in receiving with five receptions for 89 yards. It was the first time this season that he had at least 80 receiving yards and fourth time with at least five receptions.
That being said, Hockenson has not scored a touchdown since Week 9 against the Lions, which hinders his fantasy football value. But its hard to keep him out of your lineup due to the inconsistent play at tight end across the league and he’s the Lions best offensive weapon.
This week, Hockenson will try to find the end zone against a Bears’ defense that is only allowing 9.2 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. In their last three games, Chicago has given up three touchdowns to tight ends, and they allowed Hockensen to score one against them in Week 1.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start TJ Hockenson as a TE1.
