There usually are not enough points produced by the Colts’ passing game to make things easy when it comes to picking one of their wide receivers to use in fantasy football lineups. Last week, after looking like a clear favorite, Michael Pittman failed to muster 30 yards. Instead, it was T.Y. Hilton back to his old No. 1 receiver ways after being so easy to overlook all season. So what can we expect this week against the Texans from this crew?
Fantasy Football analysis: Colts WRs Michael Pittman Jr., T.Y. Hilton, Zach Pascal
We still have some precedent to go on here. Pittman led the team with nine targets, a good sign that he’s still the top choice. Unfortunately, he was only able to catch two of those passes for just 28 yards. The week before that he had 66 yards and a score, and the game before that he had 101 yards. The Colts can get back to focusing on their ground game this week against Houston’s terrible run defense, which could make it a little easier for Pittman to catch passes, at least what few they do throw.
Hilton was the main man last week. He caught four passes on five targets for 81 yards and a touchdown. But that was his first touchdown of the season and the first time he’s had more than 50 yards in a game since Week 5. Pascal had just one catch on four targets, and he’s not likely to be a big enough part of the game plan this week to merit a spot in fantasy lineups.
