As if their backfield wasn’t hard enough to predict, the New England Patriots’ pass catchers provide a whole new challenge in fantasy. This week’s game against a surging Los Angeles Chargers secondary doesn’t help.
Fantasy Football analysis: Patriots WRs Jakobi Meyers, Damiere Byrd, N’Keal Harry
Meyers broke out in Week 9 against the New York Jets, scoring 28.9 PPR fantasy points. Though he’s been slated as the team’s top receiver, replacing the injured Julian Edelman, Meyers has averaged just 10.95 points per-game since Week 9. He’s also yet to surpass five receptions since then as well.
Byrd, just like Meyers, has been hurt by Newton’s inconsistencies. Though he had 26.30 fantasy points in Week 11, Byrd has been held to under 40 yards receiving in six games this season.
Harry’s role in the Patriots’ offense has never grown, despite being a first round pick in the 2019 Draft. He’s the third option in a run-happy offense and hasn’t been a viable fantasy play all year.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Jakobi Meyers, Damiere Byrd, and N’Keal Harry.
