Game day update: The Ravens did not activate Willie Snead off the Covid-19 injured reserve list, so he will not play in Week 13. Dez Bryant will be the name to watch in this one behind Marquise Brown.
The Baltimore Ravens COVID outbreak is finally starting to subside. However, the wide receiver picture is still likely to be shaped by who is and isn’t available for this week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Marquise Brown is good to go, having avoided the outbreak. Willie Snead’s outlook for this week’s game is cloudy. He was one of the player who tested positive last Sunday, which makes it difficult for him to be cleared and activated in time for this game, even though it is a Monday afternoon tilt.
Fantasy Football analysis: Ravens WRs Marquise Brown, Willie Snead
Brown had a huge game last week. He caught four passes on eight targets for 85 yards and a touchdown. That was his first score since Week 8, and only his third of the season. That was the most yardage in a game he’s had since Week 4. And this was with backup quarterbacks.
Snead is one of 10 players still on the COVID/reserve list for Baltimore. The earliest he could come off is five days after testing positive if he has two negative tests within 24 hours. Otherwise, he has to quarantine for 10 days.
For fantasy football purposes, Brown is a decent starter this week, a WR2 or WR3 with some upside. He could see more passes with tight end Mark Andrews still on the COVID list too. Lamar Jackson is still on the COVID list, and could be cleared as soon as Sunday. Brown’s fantasy outook is actually a little better if Jackson is not playing. If Snead does somehow get cleared in time to play, he’s probably not worth a roster spot in fantasy.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Marquise Brown. Sit Willie Snead.
