It’s been a rough go of it for the Chicago Bears offense at the quarterback position. Nick Foles should be healthy enough to play this weekend, but it will be Mitch Trubisky who will get the start on Sunday. Here’s a look at what we can expect from him.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bears QB Mitch Trubisky
Trubisky did not have a very good game in his last time out, but the fantasy numbers ended up pretty good. He completed 26 of 46 passes in a 41-25 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night for 242 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He also fumbled three times but lost just one.
Foles had been dealing with a hip injury but practiced in full on Thursday, though it appears Trubisky will be the No. 1 option on Sunday.
Trubisky and the Bears will host the Detroit Lions, which rank No. 26 in the NFL in passing yards allowed with 262.8. In its last time out, Detroit allowed Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson to throw for 318 yards and four touchdowns on 17 of 25 passing in a 41-25 loss on Thanksgiving.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Trubisky is a mid-tier quarterback No. 2 for fantasy purposes, but he’s a pretty risky play. Depending on how healthy Foles is, it’s certainly possible he steps in for Trubisky at some point if he’s struggling, which we have seen plenty of throughout his career.
