Why I like the Bills ATS on MNF vs. 49ers

The Bills are underdogs in Week 13 but have a solid shot at covering the spread against the 49ers on Monday.

A Covid-19 outbreak has forced the San Francisco 49ers from their home field for the next two weeks, so they’ll host the Buffalo Bills at State Farm Stadium in Week 13’s second Monday football game. San Francisco upset the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12 and will now look to hold off the top team in the AFC East.

The Bills are +100 on the moneyline in this matchup despite playing at a neutral location and I like their odds to cover the spread against a 49ers team that’s just starting to get healthy again.

ATS Pick: Bills

Buffalo is a 1-point underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook, so a win will get the job done as far as point spread bets go. The Bills are 4-1 since losing to the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs in back-to-back weeks and only fell to the Arizona Cardinals on a Hail Mary. The 49ers are sturdy against the run and the pass on defense but might not have the firepower on offense to keep up with the opposition.

San Francisco is averaging just under 18 points per game with Mullens under center while Buffalo has the 10th-highest scoring offense in the NFL this season.. The Bills duo of Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs could be challenged by Richard Sherman, but only three QB-WR duos have connected for more yards this season. Buffalo’s defense has been far from exceptional but Nick Mullens could have to have one of his best games of the year to keep up with one of the most dynamic batteries in the league.
