When Denver Broncos wide recevier Courtland Sutton suffered a season-ending knee injury earlier this season, many analysts wondered who would step up. Would it be rookie wideout Jerry Jeudy or maybe Tim Patrick?
It became latter as three-year wide receiver Tim Patrick has become the top receiving target outside of tight end Noah Fant for second-year quarterback Drew Lock. On Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick was the team’s second-leading receiver behind Fant.
But he had the Broncos’ only two touchdowns with four receptions (four targets) on 44 yards. The last time Patrick scored a touchdown was in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Coming into this Week 13 contest, Patrick was receiving a healthy target share and has been productive. In Denver’s last three games, the 27-year-old receiver has nine receptions (16 targets) for 180 yards. Within those three games, he scored 11.9 fantasy points against the Miami Dolphins.
Overall, Patrick has had four games, where he’s scored at least 10 fantasy points. The 6-foot-4 wideout should be a solid waiver wire add, if you strike out on the bigger names heading into your fantasy football players. Patrick is currently rostered in 21 percent of Yahoo fantasy leagues.
