With Will Fuller V being popped for a six-game PED suspension, effectively ending his season, the Houston Texans needed another receiver next to Brandin Cooks to step up on Sunday afternoon. That wideout was Keke Coutee, who the team’s leading receiver in their 26-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Coutee had a season-high eight receptions (nine targets) for 141 yards. He got his day started in the first quarter with a 64-yard pass from quarterback Deshaun Watson to put Houston inside the red zone.
Coming into this game, the former Texas Tech Red Raider had six receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown. Coutee’s lone touchdown happened a couple weeks ago against the New England Patriots, where he had two receptions (four targets) for 10 yards. The 5-foot-11 wideout was already on the waiver wire radar this week, based off of Fuller’ suspension. But now he’ll be heavily sought after with the fantasy football playoffs getting under way. Coutee is currently rostered in 25 percent of Yahoo fantasy leagues.
