Final injury report
Kyle Rudolph is doubtful, while Irv Smith Jr. is questionable. If Smith can play, he becomes a decent fantasy play as long as Rudolph is out.
Austin Hooper didn’t practice on Friday, but with a Monday night game, he still has time to be ready to go.
Jonnu Smith is off the injury report and ready to go against the Jaguars.
Out: Jace Sternberger (concussion)
Doubtful: Kyle Rudolph (foot)
Questionable: Irv Smith Jr. (back), Tyler Eifert (shoulder), Ian Thomas (knee)
Thursday injury report
Jonnu Smith practiced in full on Thursday and should return against the Jaguars.
Irv Smith returned to a limited practice, while Kyle Rudolph missed his second practice. Smith is on track to return while Rudolph will need to practice Friday.
DNP: Jace Sternberger (concussion), Marcedes Lewis (knee), Kyle Rudolph (foot)
Limited: Hayden Hurst (ankle), Irv Smith (back)
Full: Jonnu Smith (knee)
Wednesday injury report
Irv Smith continues to miss practice while his counterpart, Kyle Rudolph, was out with an foot injury.
Jonnu Smith was limited in practice on Wednesday, which is a good sign after not practicing at all last week.
Mark Andrews is off the Covid-19 list and should be able to play this week against the Browns.
DNP: Jace Sternberger (concussion), Kyle Rudolph (foot), Irv Smith Jr. (back)
Limited: Marcedes Lewis (knee), Jonnu Smith (knee),
Week 14 released Darren Waller on the Jets and it was not pretty for the winless New Yorkers. Waller swamped the Jets for 13 receptions, 200 yards and two touchdowns for 45 PPR points. Even Travis Kelce’s 8/136/1 line had no chance against that statement game. Waller has been somewhat inconsistent, but there’s no doubt that he has proven himself as an elite fantasy tight end.
Logan Thomas had his coming out party against the Steelers on Monday afternoon. His nine receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown was by far his best game on the season, as he had topped sixty yards just twice this season, with nine games under 42 yards. We’ll see if this breakout is something that brings them confidence to keep giving him the kinds of opportunities he needs to be a consistent fantasy producer.
Mark Andrews is still on the Covid list, missing the last two games. Hopefully he can be activated before the Ravens face the Browns on Monday night.
There are no teams on bye in Week 14.
Cole Kmet, Bears
Kmet found the end zone last week after taking over the lead role from Jimmy Graham. He had seven targets, catching five for 37 yards and the touchdown. He gets an advantageous matchup with the Texans this week, and should be in line for another good workload now that he has the lead role.
Jordan Reed, 49ers
Reed will take on his old team as Washington comes to town. Reed ended up finding the end zone on Monday night and will continue to be a strong target for Nick Mullens as long as George Kittle remains out.
