Frank Gore listed as questionable for Week 14, but expected to play

Frank Gore suffered a concussion in Week 13, but is already progressing though the protocol.

Friday update: Gore is listed as questionable on the final injury report for Week 14. He was a full participant in practice on Friday, per Rich Cimini, so he seems on track to play.

Thursday update: Gore was listed as a DNP on Thursday, but it was announced as not injury related. This would seem to suggest he is still making his progress through the concussion protocol. Adam Gase said on Wednesday that he expects Gore to be available on Sunday, per Rich Cimini.

The New York Jets returned to practice on Wednesday to open Week 14, and running back Frank Gore is making progress in his return from a concussion. Gore suffered a head injury early in Week 13 and Ty Johnson handled the workload the rest of the way. Gore is limited in practice on Wednesday, according to Brian Costello.

Gore has had some decent games this season for fantasy football managers, although it’s more due to sheer volume of work more than anything. In Weeks 11 and 12 he had 157 total yards and scored 26.7 fantasy points in PPR leagues.

Johnson impressed in Gore’s place against the Raiders. He rushed 22 times for 104 yards and a touchdown and added 13 receiving yards in the near upset. La’Mical Perine was looking like he could develop into a starting option before a high ankle sprain landed him on injured reserve. If Gore is back this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks, it will be interesting to see if Johnson cuts into his workload.
