Spurs - DeRozan (back) will not play tonight.— Steve McGehee (@SteveMcGehee) February 11, 2020
UPDATE: Feb. 11, 2:08 p.m. — DeRozan is doubtful to play Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
DeRozan was a late scratch from Monday’s game vs. the Nuggets due to back spasms that flared up during pre-game warmups. The Spurs are going to be cautious with DeRozan with the All-Star Break coming up. After Tuesday, San Antonio won’t play again until Friday, Feb. 21, so that would give DeRozan ample time to recover.
LaMarcus Aldridge ($6,700) is an appealing overall play on DraftKings slate for Tuesday night. Lonnie Walker ($3,000) started in place of DeRozan on Monday and is a good GPP value play. He scored just 19.25 DKFP on Monday, but also played 26 minutes.
This was extremely late breaking news. The San Antonio Spurs didn’t ruled out DeMar DeRozan until after tip-off was scheduled. He injured himself during warmups and Lonnie Walker ($3,000) is starting in his place. Walker figures to have a nice fantasy night and looks like the guy to roster moving forward if DeRozan misses additional games.
