Top NBA DFS value plays on DraftKings for Feb. 11

We go over some value plays for Thursday’s five-game slate on DraftKings.

For value, the biggest story on the slate is the Pelicans’ injury situation. After sitting out their last game, it looks like Zion Williamson is going to be playing. This doesn’t necessarily eliminate all the of the value on New Orleans. Brandon Ingram is questionable to play and there’s a couple plays that make sense if he’s unavailable. These are a few of my favorite for salary savings.

Robert Covington, SF/PF, HOU vs. BOS ($5,200)

I think we are going to see Covington play a massive role on the Rockets. Traded to Houston at the Trade Deadline, we saw him play 35 minutes last game. If last game was any indication, he should play a ton of minutes now that he’s starting and more comfortable with the system. As is, Covington is averaging 26.67 DKFP since coming to Houston. He also figures to get plenty of open looks on the Rockets with James Harden and Russell Westbrook drawing so much attention from defenses.

Josh Hart, SG/SF, NOR vs. POR ($5,100)

If Ingram is out, I expect Hart to start in his place. It’s a role he’s had mixed success in, but ultimately, he averages 26.83 DKFP as a starter and has the ceiling to score well over 30 DKFP. He’s scored over 30 DKFP in three of his last four games and this figures to be a good game environment since it has one of the highest totals of the night.

JJ Redick, SG/SF, NOR vs. POR ($4,500)

Just like Hart, Redick stands to benefit if Ingram can’t play. Redick likely wouldn’t start although he would still see an uptick in playing time off the bench. The Pelicans’ sharpshooter has been hot lately, averaging 20.5 points and 33.38 DKFP in the last two games. Unfortunately, we need Ingram to be out to roster Ingram. If he’s in, Redick loses most of his value.

Rui Hachimura, , WAS vs. CHI ($4,800)

After missing nearly two months because of a groin injury, Hachimura is back in the Wizards’ starting lineup. It didn’t take him much time to get back into a groove despite all the time away. Since coming back, Hachimura is averaging 26.42 DKFP even though he’s been playing limited minutes. Now with three games under his belt, I think we could see him start to play 30+ minutes again. This would be an excellent game for his minutes to get expanded since the Bulls are one of the worst teams in the league at defending big men. Chicago allows the second most DKFP to power forwards.
