Here are five players to build around for Tuesday’s five-game slate on Draftkings.
Russell Westbrook, Houston Rockets vs. Boston Celtics ($9,900) — Simply put, this is too cheap of a price for Westbrook regardless of the matchup. We rarely seem him priced below $10k and for good reason. Russ has scored over 50 DKFP in 10 of his 11 games and plenty of those games have come against tough defenses. Last game, he scored 55.5 DKFP against the Jazz. It looks like Westbrook is greatly benefitting from all the small ball lineups the Rockets are playing.
Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls at Washington Wizards ($8,200) — Give me pretty much everybody playing against the Wizards every night. Washington is 28th in the league in defensive efficiency while playing at a fast pace. This game has a massive 230.5-point total and LaVine has scored at least 42 DKFP in both of his games against the Wizards this season. One odd quirk with LaVine’s splits, he’s been a much better fantasy producer on the road. Away from home, he’s scoring an additional 5.65 DKFP per game.
Ben Simmons, Philadelphia 76ers vs. Los Angeles Clippers ($8,600) — As per usual, the Sixers are engulfed in turmoil and off court rumors. Recent reports have suggested that executives around the league are prepared for the possibility that Joel Embiid will be moved in the offseason. Amongst all this noise, Simmons keeps churning out good games. In the last three games, he’s averaging 50.33 DKFP and is coming off his fifth triple-double of the season.
LaMarcus Aldridge, San Antonio Spurs at Oklahoma City Thunder ($6,700) — Last night, DeMar DeRozan was a shocking late scratch by the Spurs. His back tightened up during warmups and he was ruled out right before tip-off. This leaves his status uncertain for tonight although it does seem more likely that DDR will sit than play. If he’s out, we can expect Aldridge to absorb a heavy amount of usage. When DeRozan is off the court, Aldridge has a 27.3% usage rating and scores 48.78 DKFP per 36 minutes.
Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans vs. Portland Trail Blazers ($7,400) — It feel like a big game is lurking for Zion. He’s been solid for the Pelicans in his limited games, averaging 33.56 DKFP in 26.9 minutes per game. It seems whenever he’s about to have a huge fantasy line, the Pelicans win via blowout and he doesn’t get to play in crunch time. Eventually, that will change and this game against the Blazers figures to be tight. This is also a nice matchup for Williamson since Portland allows the most DKFP in the league to power forwards.
