Kevin Love ruled out Wednesday vs. Hawks [UPDATE]

Cavaliers PF has a sore Achilles and could sit out before the All-Star Break.

UPDATE: Feb. 12 — Love has been ruled out vs. the Hawks. With Love out, we will have Larry Nance Jr. in the starting lineup for the Cavs. Tristan Thompson should also see more minutes off the bench, though it’s tough to fit him and Andre Drummond into the same lineup. I’d say Nance and Drummond are good plays with Love sidelined.

Cleveland Cavaliers PF Kevin Love is questionable to play in Wednesday’s game vs. the Atlanta Hawks due to a sore Achilles. Love only played 26 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Clippers, scoring 10 points with nine boards.

The Cavs have been starting Andre Drummond next to Love in the front court, moving Tristan Thompson to the bench. If Love is held out Wednesday, there’s a possibility Thompson could start at PF alongside Drummond. It’s a lot of size and both players are centers, so Larry Nance Jr. is also a candidate to start. I’d also give a nice usage bump to Cedi Osman and Alfonzo McKinnie.
