NBA All-Star Weekend kicks off on Friday, but Saturday night is what we’ve all be patiently waiting for all week. Of the events on Saturday, the Skills Competition gets us started at 9 PM ET on TNT. DraftKings Sportsbook recently released odds on each player to win the competition, so here we’ll take a look at those lines and then break down who may have the best chance to return value:
NBA Skills Competition Odds
Unsurprisingly, two guards are in the top three odds to win this event. Spencer Dinwiddie has been much more than just a 6th Man all season, filling in for Kyrie Irving at PG for most of 2019-20 for the Nets. I’m a bit surprised Khris Middleton is this high to win the comp. We saw Tatum win it last year, so Middleton fits the mold of a lanky guard/forward combo who can handle a bit and is lights out shooting.
The guy I’d target is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander at +500. SGA probably has the best handles in the competition. He’s young, he’s hungry, he wants to make a name for himself at ASW. Gilgeous-Alexander has a pretty decent tutor in Chris Paul potentially helping him out. My dark horse would be Pascal Siakam at +600, though. He’s probably the most talented player in this field and I could see Spicy P coming out and winning this to stick it to Kyle Lowry.
