Memphis bettors avoided the bad beat of the year when a free throw with six seconds left was missed by Mika Adams-Woods
For Tigers backers, it was bad enough the game went to overtime in the first place. They controlled most of the play, but a late charge by the Bearcats and two made free throws by Tre Scott forced the extra session.
Halfway through OT Precious Achiuwa, he of the 22 points and 17 rebounds for the Tigers, picked up his fifth foul, and at that point there was only one question: Would UC cover the 6.5 in OT alone?
Wow, Memphis might not even cover

They were about to pull of the grossest of backdoors, but with the final free throw of the game, the Gambling Gods came through for those that likely felt entitled to win this game about five minutes ago on the clock.
What a ride that Memphis cover was @BWalkerSEC @marty_mush

That was wild...
Of course, not everyone was pleased...

Just another night in college college basketball. And it’s only getting better the rest of this season.
