Breaking down the Sun Belt Conference basketball tournament schedule

Taking a look at who, where and when for the Sun Belt Conference Championship, which will be hosted at campus sites, with the title game in New Orleans, LA.

The Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Championship will be held March 7-15 at campus sites with the semifinals and championship taking place in New Orleans. The Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans developed a bit of a gap between them and the rest of the field opening up a three-game lead in conference play, ahead of the Georgia State Panthers and Georgia Southern Eagles.

All conference tournament games will be streamed on ESPN+ until the championship game, when it switches to ESPN2.

March 7

Game 1: No. 9 Arkansas State 66-73 No. 8 Louisiana (ESPN+), 12 p.m.
Game 2: No. 10 Coastal Carolina 62-63 No. 7 UTA (ESPN+), 3 p.m.

March 9

Game 3: Game 1 Winner at No. 5 Georgia Southern (ESPN+), 6 p.m.
Game 4: Game 2 Winner at No. 6 Appalachian State (ESPN+), 6 p.m.

March 11

Game 5: Game 3 Winner at No. 4 Georgia State (ESPN+), 6 p.m.
Game 6: Game 4 Winner at No. 3 Texas State (ESPN+), 7 p.m.

March 14

Game 7: Game 5 Winner vs. No. 1 Little Rock (ESPN+), 11:30 a.m.
Game 8: Game 6 Winner vs. No. 2 South Alabama (ESPN+), 2 p.m.

March 15

Championship: Game 7 winner vs. Game 8 winner (ESPN2) 6 p.m. ET

Little Rock is atop the Sun Belt with a KenPom of 121, so this will be a one-bid league with the conference tournament deciding it all. Georgia State won the last two Sun Belt conference tournaments.
