What to do with Damien Williams in Super Bowl DFS

Can Damien Williams keep up his phenomenal playoff performance? We break down his DFS value in Super Bowl 54.

Damien Williams has been the most consistent offensive weapon for the Kansas City Chiefs — save Patrick Mahomes — in the postseason this year. His contributions as a runner and receiver out of the backfield have translated to a ton of success for his team. But how will he matchup against the San Francisco 49ers’ fearsome defensive line?

Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce are the main attractions, but Williams has been just as important to Kansas City’s scoring prowess in the playoffs. This might be the game where he’s needed most. We break down what he might do for daily fantasy football players.

Fantasy football analysis: Chiefs RB Damien Williams

Williams is averaging nearly 25 DKFP per contest during this postseason and has scored four touchdowns in two games. He also hasn’t dipped below 18 DKFP in four games. His 92 rushing yards thus far won’t turn any heads, but his ability to serve as an escape outlet for Mahomes against the 49ers’ pass rush will make him a valuable asset. Kansas City’s wide receivers should be able to spread San Francisco thin on the edges, giving Williams plenty of space.

DFS recommendation

Play Williams as a flex ($9,800). He can a chance to be more productive than Hill, and costs less.
